Thanks everyone. I'm so enjoying knitting with that sugar cane. It's the first time I've worked with it and it is soft and gorgeous (and a tiny bit crispy ... like sugar :o)

Looking forward to cooler days ahead so I can cozy up on the couch and knit, knit, knit.

Thanks for your comments everyone. I received so many gifts for my birthday-- my family is generous. I forgot to mention, the pattern for that lace scarf is from the book Exquisite Little Knits. It's just a two row repeat, so it's easy enough for me to follow.
