Golden leaves

I woke up this morning to a pleasant surprise: rain! I went outside shortly after the sun came up to take pictures of the golden leaves on the ground before the landscapers arrive and blow them away.

Last night while walking Charlie I thought those leaves looked like stars glowing against the backdrop of the dark lawn.

As I'm writing this, Apollo is perched on my lap. He's purring madly, and every so often he gently touches my arm with his paw, politely asking for attention, which I am happy to give him. He loves to have his face stroked.

This is the artist trading card I created for my swap group this month. The theme was family. I had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner at my sister's house last night, and family is one of the many things I am thankful for. This year I am especially thankful to have a steady income, a comfortable home, wonderful friends, and my two little furry buddies, Charlie and Apollo. I am also thankful for the blogging community and the friendships I've made with all of you. I'm inspired by your warmth, generosity and creativity.

It's so nice to be off work today. I never shop on Black Friday because I'm allergic to crowds, so I have a quiet day at home planned. I want to organize my art supplies, something I've been trying to do for several months, and catch up on my reading. I'm sure there will be a bit of napping, too.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Sweet Kitty! I love the card you made and I am thankful for all of you... as well as my family, my home, and my sweet husband.

Last year I didn't even know you, doesn't seem right... does it? Anyway, I don't shop on Black Friday either. Too many people for this old gal.

Have a peaceful, restful and productive day.

Apollo is adorable....oh, and so is Charlie! Don't you just love it when they communicate with us through their paws! Before I saw what you said about the leaves..I saw the same thing! How nice! Glad you had a wonderful day just doing what you love..I don't go out shopping on this crazy day either

Sweet! Love those little kitty faces. Charlie looks so content in his nap.

I don't blame you for staying home today. I was at the mall tonight - it's still November but there were so many people there that I was getting squirrelly. What's it going to be like in 2 weeks? Ugh! Another good reason to go handmade for Christmas this year!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Those appear to be very contented kitties! So cute.

And you're right, the leaves do look like stars! Lovely pictures.
Have fun organizing!

You already know that I love your sweet cats!

Aren't the fall leaves just so beautiful this year!! I am still loving them. Lots of red still on the maple trees in Grass Valley.

Love your ATC. It along with the others for this month are on my bullentin board above my craft table. I love looking at all of them.

Have a nice evening!
